This course is for employees who have some familiarity with the basic principles of carpentry. It presents participants with advanced terminology and practices used in the carpentry trade. By the end of the class, participants will be able to:

  • Identify finish materials.
  • Demonstrate the safe use of carpentry hand and power tools.
  • Perform construction math.
  • Select and use the proper personal protective equipment.
  • Hang and finish drywall.
  • Apply trim.
  • Install a door and associated hardware.
