Build Skills & Training Opportunities for Your Team
Meet your agency’s professional development needs with our comprehensive agency training options. NYS Managers and CSEA Leaders can jointly request customized training for their agency through the Partnership. You can:
- Request Skills for Success Courses On-site - The Partnership offers 100+ Skills for Success courses and webinars to support employee development and address skill gaps. Agencies can request these courses be delivered on-site or at a nearby location.
- Use Targeted Tuition Benefits for Agencies - Through the Partnership's Tuition Benefits Program, agencies can use tuition vouchers to pay approved education providers to deliver training that meets their employee's needs.
- Apply for a Partnership Grant - We can help you apply for our Labor-Management Workforce Development or Safety and Health Grant to fund a training we don't offer or isn't covered through our tuition benefits program.

Trades, Operations & Maintenance
The two-year Applied Skilled Trades Program (ASTP) offers hands-on and classroom training in carpentry, plumbing and steamfitting, electrical, and masonry/plastering. It helps agencies build a skilled workforce and prepare candidates for journey-level roles. Custom trades training is also available.
Safety & Health
Safety & Health courses are offered through our Skills for Success program to enhance the knowledge and skills needed to promote a safe and healthy work environment. We offer custom courses, trainings and grant funding opportunities to help agencies create a safer work environment.
Adult Education Basics (AEB)
We Offer Custom AEB Courses that help agencies get the support and training their employee's need for commonly used workplace skills in language (ESOL), reading, writing, and math.
Administrative Assistant Traineeship (AAT)
This two-year program prepares Administrative Assistant Trainees for advancement to Administrative Assistant 1 through targeted training in essential workplace skills.
