Use Tuition Benefits to Advance Your Education
Employees can get up to $5,000 per year to pay for trade courses, trade school, or training. You can also receive reimbursement for approved exams for college credit, certifications, or licenses.
Additional tuition - up to $2,500 per program year - is available for Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), and Welding programs.
Request Trades Training at Your Agency to Strengthen Skills & Performance
Through labor-management collaboration, agencies can jointly request customized training through the Partnership to improve facility knowledge, address skill gaps, and meet agency needs. You can:
- Bring any of the Partnership’s Trades, Operations & Maintenance Skills for Success courses on-site through a Worksite Training.
- Use Targeted Tuition Benefits for Agencies to fund trades training through 140+ of our approved schools and education institutions.
- Apply for a Partnership Workforce Development Grant to fund a training we can’t offer.
Discover the Applied Skilled Trades Program (ASTP)
Through labor-management collaboration, this two-year program helps agencies build a skilled internal workforce for high-demand trades and to develop employees for future journey-level positions. Participants can enroll in a traineeship or certificate track and receive classroom and hands-on training in one of the following trades:
- Carpenter
- Electrician
- Mason & Plasterer
- Plumber & Steamfitter
