Career and Learning Resources

The NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training provides instructional support and learning resources to help CSEA-represented NYS employees meet their job and career goals. Through the Partnership's Career and Learning Resources page you have access to a variety of helpful tools:
- Archived Webinars - The Partnership's webinar courses are recorded and saved as Internet videos. You may watch the recorded webinar presentation and listen to the instructor and attendees in these video recordings, but you cannot interact or ask questions.
- Digital Books - The Empire KnowledgeBank and Skillsoft eBook and Video Portal offers instant access to thousands of free digital books and videos as part of the Partnership's Online Learning Program. You can access these resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from your computer or mobile device.
- Education Guides - A set of guides on topics for employees who are interested in or are currently furthering their education.
- Interview Portfolio - A useful tool to use in managing your career. It is a collection of documents showing your experiences, training, skills, and accomplishments.
- Job Aids - Useful tools to help you quickly access information on instruction you may need to perform a task or to enhance your job performance.
- Keyboarding Resources - Resources that can help you increase your keyboarding speed and accuracy. Take advantage of the Partnership's Grants and Tuition Benefits programs, as well as free online keyboarding courses.
- Self-Directed Search (SDS) - This is a paper and pencil personal assessment that can help you make effective career decisions based on your interests, experience, and abilities.
- Videos - Cover a wide range of training topics to help you enhance your job skills or personal development needs. Or you can view promotional videos that describe the wide range of Partnership programs and services available to CSEA-represented employees, or NYS managers and CSEA leaders.
- What Can I Do With This Major? - A tool that can help you expore areas of study; learn about career paths and how they connect to education; and develop strategies for becoming a more marketable job candidate.
