Partnership
Programs Receive Awards
The Continuing Education Association of New York (CEANY) has honored
the NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training with several James
C. Hall Jr. Exemplary Program Awards. In recent years, various categories
of CEANY awards have been presented to the Partnership for programs demonstrating
excellence in innovation and contributing to the field of
continuing education.
- 2006 Business/Industry Linkage – The Partnership's NYS & CSEA Applied Skilled Trades Program of classroom training in several journey-level skilled trades was recognized as an innovative and effective program designed to provide continuing education services to employees in meeting the needs of the business and industry in community.
- 2005 Business/Industry Linkage – A Partnership project funded
by a grant from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service
was recognized for developing an online course, Labor-Management
Committee Basics, and a two-day committee training program.
- 2005 Marketing Course Catalog/Brochure – The Partnership’s
Resources – Guide to Programs & Services 2005-2007 catalog
was recognized for creative and effective layout, graphics, and copy.
- 2004 Non-Credit Program Development – The Partnership’s
Online Learning Program Initiative was cited for providing job-related
training to employee populations who previously were not
able to participate in traditional classroom training and for proactively
fostering labor and management collaboration to minimize obstacles
commonly encountered in online learning.
- 2004 Business/Industry Linkage – The Partnership’s Workforce
Development Grant Program was acknowledged for its innovative approach
in working with State agencies and their CSEA locals to implement a
cooperative “grow-your-own” approach to workforce development
in collaboration with many continuing education providers.
- 2002 Marketing
Course Catalog/Brochure – The Partnership’s
Tuition Benefits for CSEA-represented NYS
Employees 2002-2003 catalog
was commended for creative and effective layout, graphics, and copy.
