Welcome

Many CSEA-represented New York State employees are pursuing opportunities to earn college credits toward a college degree or certificate, update their skills, qualify for promotion or career advancement, and improve skills for their present job. Whether you are an employee who is continuing to pursue educational goals or an employee who is thinking about various educational opportunities, tuition assistance is available from the NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training (Partnership).

Through the Tuition Benefits Program, you can receive a voucher that pays tuition at participating schools or receive reimbursement for tuition at other accredited schools and for national credit-by-examination fees.

The program can help you:

  • Update your job skills or start a new career direction by taking a course at your local BOCES, local school district, or community college

  • Earn credits toward a degree or certificate at a community college or four-year university

  • Update your basic writing skills, study English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), or obtain a high school diploma (GED)

Educational advisors are available to answer your questions on all aspects of your tuition benefits. They can assist you with free advice and referrals about financial aid, adult education basic skills, and GED preparation. An advisor may be contacted by calling the Partnership at (800) 253-4332 or (518) 486-7814, or emailing advisors@nyscseapartnership.org.
